Megasquirt/Microsquirt ECU

The Microsquirt is the latest addition to the popular Megasquirt family.  Controlling both ignition and injection in an extremely compact form factor is very capable system at a very attractive price point.  The Microsquirt is a great match for 4-cylinder engines and can also run V6, V8 and other engines too.
  • Two ignition outputs suitable for:
    • Direct drive wasted spark ignition on 4-cylinder engines
    • EDIS based ignition for 4, 6 or 8 cylinder engines
    • Control of distributor driven spark on all engine types
  • Two injection channels for either one low impedence fuel injector per channel or up to four high impedence injectors per channel

A complete package of everything you need to install distributorless, 3D mappable ignition and fuel injection to your Zetec or Duratec engine.

The Microsquirt features two inbuilt drivers for wasted spark ignition should you wish to directly control the ignition, so our basic package   We recommend that rather than directly drive the coils that you use the EDIS ignition system.  With EDIS you retain full control of the ignition timing from the Microsquirt ECU but gain a "limp-home" ignition mode.  EDIS ignition also offers reduced electrical noise and an extremely tolerant crank sensor conditioning circuit.

Tacho Driver

Tacho driver module for coil-driven rev counters
Suitable for Megasquirt, Megajolt and many other ECUs the tacho driver allows you to retain your existing coil driven rev counter.  If you have a recent rev counter accepts the 5 volt output of most ECUs then you do not need one of these.
 
  • For 4-cylinder, wasted spark installations or two-cylinder independent coils use the 2-input version.
  • For 6-cylinder wasted spark or 3-cylinder triple coil installations use the 3-input version.
  • For 8-cylinder wasted spark or 4 cylinder coil-per cylinder setups use the 4-input version.
