Megasquirt Engine management systems

Since 2001 the Megasquirt family of ECUs has been making the benefits of mappable fuel injection and ignition systems accessible to everyone.  With functionality usually only found on far more expensive systems Megasquirt ECUs have been used on everything from land speed racers to lawnmowers and pretty much everything in between!

Please note that we are now shipping the new Microsquirt V3.  The V3 system is capable of controlling two external ignition drivers or an EDIS ignition module.  If you want to directly drive ignition coils we will be stocking a range of suitable ignition drivers.

Megasquirt/Microsquirt ECU

The Microsquirt is the latest addition to the popular Megasquirt family.  Controlling both ignition and injection in an extremely compact form factor it is a very capable system at a very attractive price point.  The Microsquirt is a great match for 4-cylinder engines and can also run V6, V8 and other engines too.   We now stock the latest Microsquirt V3 system.
  • Two ignition outputs suitable for:
    • EDIS based ignition for 4, 6 or 8 cylinder engines
    • Control of distributor driven spark on all engine types using off-board ignition module
    • Wasted spark ignition on 4-cylinder engines using off-board ignitors.
  • Two injection channels for either one low impedance fuel injector per channel or up to four high impedance injectors per channel
  • Coolant and air temperature sensor inputs
  • Oxygen sensor input
  • MAP sensor input
  • Throttle sensor input
  • Engine speed input
  • Fuel pump and Fast idle (IACV) valve outputs

The Microsquirt can run your ignition using either the EDIS system or external ignitiors.  If you already have coilpack and EDIS module then you may use the ones that we have already.  If you don't have the EDIS module, coilpack etc then we can supply them for you.

This package contains:

  • Microsquirt ECU
  • Pre-wired 35 pin waterproof ampseal connector and stub loom - every wire has been printed with labels all along its length
  • Deluxe Loom kit and shielded wire
  • Pack of 7 new connectors for crank sensor, temperature sensors and injectors
  • New coilpack connector

Tacho Driver

Tacho driver module for coil-driven rev counters
Suitable for Megasquirt, Megajolt and many other ECUs the tacho driver allows you to retain your existing coil driven rev counter.  If you have a more modern rev counter accepts the 5 volt output of most ECUs then you do not need one of these.

USB-serial adaptors

USB-serial adaptor for computers lacking a serial port.

Many new laptops and PCs do not come with a serial port.  These adaptors plug into a USB socket and allow you to connect up to your ECU. 

Many cheaper adaptors give problems, these adaptors use a premium chipset and tested to work with Megajolt, Megasquirt and Emerald ECUs.
