We bought in these bosses and bungs as a sample from a supplier that we hadn't used before. They were supposed to be stainless but turned out to be mild steel. The threads on the bungs also didn't pass our QA controls. Needless to say this isn't a supplier that we'll be using!
If you're after a mild steel boss these will do the job at a superb price point.
